Blanchett won Oscars for her work in Martin Scorsese ‘s The Aviator and Woody Allen ‘s Blue Jasmine, and she’s in the middle of filming Guillermo del Toro ‘s Nightmare Alley with Bradley Cooper. "Cate Blanchett is one of the most award-winning and outstanding actresses of her generation, delivering extraordinary performances throughout her career including her Academy Award-winning roles as Katherine Hepburn in The Aviator and the title role in Woody Allen's Blue Jasmine," said Festival Chairman Harold Matzner. Her performance as Katharine Hepburn in The Aviator, made her the only actor to win an Oscar for portraying another Oscar-winning actor.
